WHO ARE THE 2018 NSIS “TECH SCOUTS?”

Invited technology “scouts” include science advisors, field representatives, individuals in program and project offices, and laboratory personnel from a number of organizations.  These include the Department of Defense (DoD) combatant commands (CCMDs); DoD labs and Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs); the Army Rapid Equipping Force (REF); and the Army Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO); the Defense Innovation Unit Experimental (DIUx); the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA); and the Joint Improvised-Threat Defeat Organization (JIDO).  Additionally, the 2018 NSIS has expanded invitations to other federal stakeholders who possess a compelling interest in emerging technologies, including the Department of Homeland Security and its sub organizations, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. It is currently anticipated that more than two dozen tech scouts will participate in the 2018 NSIS.

A 15-minute technical session to propose a solution to tech scouts

REQUIREMENTS

Proposed solution must be a PRODUCT, not a service (or study), and responsive to a national security need

Applications will be screened; a submission do not guarantee an opportunity to present

Additional poster board opportunities will augment technical sessions
